Meet Vicki Neumann, professional vocal coach and owner and founder of V2 Vocals.
An Indianapolis native, Vicki studied voice at the Indiana University School of Music under the direction of Eileen Farrell and Camilla Williams. After her studies at the IU School of Music, Vicki found a home in Los Angeles and continued her studies, this time under the direction of world-renowned vocal coach Seth Riggs, whose students include the likes of Ray Charles, Josh Groban, Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, and Madonna.
Vicki began teaching vocals professionally in Los Angeles in 1985, then after returning home from the city of angels, she began building a client list of her own, and became well known and respected in the Indianapolis music community.
Vicki has since established herself as a well-respected vocal coach, instructor, and mentor to professionals on Broadway, Las Vegas and various cruise lines, as well as numerous artists headlining locally in major Indianapolis concert venues and theaters including, but not limited to, Ruoff Music Center, Old National Center, Beef and Boards Dinner Theater.
Aside from being a professional vocal coach, instructor, and mentor, Vicki has been a judge for numerous regional and national vocal competitions, and was a judge for the preliminary auditions of ABC's Karaoke Battle USA.
Vicki's diverse training and expertise have made her one of the most sought after vocal coaches in the industry. She is also offering virtual vocal coaching sessions, for those who aren't able to attend vocal coaching sessions in person. In addition to private lessons, Vicki taught an enhancement vocal master class at Butler University for the Indianapolis Children's Choir.
Working with everyone from aspiring songwriters to national recording artists, Vicki's classical training allows her to not only coach her clients, but also instruct them how to perform with proper technique, giving them the confidence they need to deliver show stopping performances, whether they're performing at a local talent show or playing live to sold out crowds all over the world.
Greetings fellow singers and performers! I want to express how grateful I am to be able to work in a field that I love, respect, and cherish. Developing young voices and helping mentor them into incredible
young adults is one of the greatest highlights of my career.
Having an adult approach to me keep their voice in shape, help correct a vocal problem they're having, or develop their repertoire, set list, or character in a show is always exciting and challenging (in a good way)!
Managers, agents, and teachers approach me for help, and I'm always delighted to oblige. I'm a results oriented person who loves helping singers and spokespeople accomplish and achieve their goals
and dreams.
It's a privilege and honor to work with so many wonderful artists and I look forward to continuing on this wonderful journey.
"The arts is how we express our humanity." Let us all take a moment and spread some humanity in the
written word or in song.
All the best,
Vicki
